Donate to support Tenebrae’s Holy Week Festival at St John’s Smith Square
Returning after a hugely successful inaugural year, Tenebrae’s Holy Week Festival (26th March – 1st April 2018) aims to engage new audiences with performances of sacred choral music of the highest quality and explore the significance of Holy Week.
Award-winning vocal ensemble, Tenebrae, and one of London’s leading music venues, St John’s Smith Square, are curating a festival of 17 events over seven days that will explore a vast range of music in celebration of Holy Week including:
- workshops and Come & Sing events for those eager to learn more about singing and improve their ensemble skills
- 3 free liturgical events with music led by Tenebrae Consort, open for all to attend
- 13 lunchtime and evening concerts featuring leading, professional artists such as Tenebrae, the Aurora Orchestra, Ex Cathedra, Gabrieli Consort and Players, Polyphony and the Britten Sinfonia, Skylark (from the USA), Gesualdo Six (SJSS 2015/16 Young Artists), Temple Church Choir and The Tallis Scholars
How you can help?
A donation will help Tenebrae and St John’s Smith Square reach out to new audiences, enabling us to introduce them to the arts as well as keeping the community events accessible for all, in particular, the late-night liturgical events which will remain free to attend.
