As with all ancient buildings. St Mary's needs a lot of upkeep and constant attention to maintain the building to the exacting standards set by Cadw and the Church in Wales. Day to day running costs have risen dramatically in recent years, with routine maintenance work sometimes running into hundreds of pounds. Our small congregation of regular worshipers are generous in their weekly contributions towards the upkeep of St Mary's, but alone they cannot carry the burden of maintaining and repairing our beautiful historic parish church.
As a community there is a need to ensure that St Mary's is there for all, especially our children, our grandchildren and for generations to come. The loss of St Mary's would affect many in the village particularly our Church in Wales School, and those who come together for services at Easter, Harvest, Remembrance Sunday and Christmas as well as the important family occasions baptisms, marriages and funerals.
BECOME A SUPPORTER TODAY by donating to St Mary's. By doing so you will know that you have helped maintain a wonderful historic building which is a vital part of our village heritage.
